If you’re trying to sell a house, you know that having “curb appeal” is important. If you live in a house you know that keeping the landscaping neat and tidy is a lot of work. Most people don’t have a gardener (or even a lawn service), so it’s up to US to take care of all that.

The problem is compounded when we want to sell a house, but the trees in the yard are no longer an asset, but have become a liability. At the end of this post you can see a picture of what was in the back yard at a house we recently sold. Not a design enhancement, was it?

And trees can be dangerous, even. If an old or unealthy tree is hanging over your roof, you can just guarantee that eventually a storm will come through and you’ll have a tree ON your roof. The photo at top is just a small amount of the wood from two trees we just had taken down on a property, because they were at the end of their lifespan and dropping parts all over the house.

Ka-ching

That’s the sound of the cash register taking your money when you pay a professional to remove trees. It’s not an easy thing to do, and it is much, much safer to bring in an arborist on large projects. We were very lucky to know professional arborists who came to help out on the cabin project as their idea of a fun vacation project, which helped a lot.

But, if you don’t have the friends or funds for it, what do you do? One tempting option is to not do it at all. But if you want to sell the house, you need to find buyers willing to take on the project for themselves. Guess what? WE are that kind of buyer.

As we have just showed you, we have the resources to get a house back to safety and beauty. Sure, we’ll pay a bit less for the house, but if you paid the landscapers and arborists, you’d be out the money anyway, PLUS time. Let us take your tree problems and make them OUR tree problems!
